The legally designated name of the District is School District No. 66 of Maricopa County. The official name is Roosevelt Elementary School District No. 66.

According to state statute, Governing Board members are immune from personal liability for all acts done and actions taken in good faith within the scope of their authority during duly constituted regular and special meetings.
