The Roosevelt Aspiring Leader Cadre is designed to identify and equip future school leaders with foundational leadership understandings, traits, and skills necessary in first-level leadership roles, such as instructional coach, dean, content specialist, or assistant principal. The cadre focuses on preparing leaders to serve schools with diverse strengths and needs in the Roosevelt School District. This program complements the experiences, skills, and knowledge gained through a university school leadership program. Several current principals went through the program in previous years.
At the first cadre meeting of the year, Dr. Battle and Dr. Portillo welcomed our future leaders. Participants meet once a month, focusing on the habits of highly effective leaders and the RSD leaders’ profile.
