
Diana Apresa from Spaces of Opportunity was our guest speaker to talk to our familes about the farmer’s market, SNAP, Food Bucks and their double up program and events. I attached the invitation to make shadow boxes for valentines on Feb. 9th.
Dr Banks thanked parents for coming and discussed sports, extracurricular activities, AZELLA, and other testing. Parents communicated that they were happy with the teachers, and they were sorry to hear she was leaving at the end of this school year.

The event will take place at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School
(4615 S. 22nd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85040) from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Kick-off & March: 9:45 am
The event officially begins with a community march in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Come out to honor his legacy and strengthen community bonds through a day of celebration, education, and inspiration.

I am thrilled to announce Story School for 0-5 year olds and a family member will start on Wednesday, January 22nd at John F. Kennedy’s Family Center. This is an English/Spanish reading program with a teacher from Make Way for Books! Classes will be held Monday + Wednesday from 9-10am. The build and design competition used blueprints the students created and they built houses with materials of their choice. The Beach House won with Kit Kat Cabin coming in at 2nd place. Congratulations on your wonderful designs!
