In December, Valley View’s sixth-grade band and Eagle Band opened for the South Mountain Community College Latin jazz big band, a great experience for our students.
For over 30 years, Valley View Eagles have traveled north to participate in their Arts and Leadership Camp in Prescott. Students learn to do art projects, conduct science experiments and learn more about leadership. We thank Ms. Perla Rodriguez for organizing this opportunity for over 15 years.
Valley View Eagles visited the Phoenix Art Museum, where they examined and discussed art from over 600 years ago. The Firefly Installation was among the most popular exhibits, featuring thousands of fireflies suspended from the ceiling in complete darkness with mirrors on all sides multiplying the effect.
